With high value sectors experiencing an uptick in regulation, we have invited an all female speaker panel to discuss the subject. We welcome back Aisling Twomey who will be speaking with Olivia Whitting of The Art Loss Register and Antonia Kimbell and Abeer Almahdi of The Watch Register who will be discussing a number of case studies and providing us with opportunity to learn about how financial crime regulations currently apply to high value sectors and tackle some of the most interesting questions in the financial crime space today.

Speaker Bios:
Aisling Twomey - Aisling has worked in Financial Crime for 12 years across a range of financial institutions including JP Morgan Chase, Santander, Nationwide Building Society and Monzo Bank, where she is Director of Financial Crime covering the Business Bank and European Union expansion. She also owns Monzo's sanctions policy. Aisling holds two law degrees and before changing career to work in financial crime, she worked in aviation security and for a series of human rights charities. She has delivered human rights education for the Council of Europe in Ireland, Azerbaijan and Hungary. She is currently working on her PhD, which examines money laundering regulation in the art market. Her work has been published in the Harvard Art Law Review and the Irish Law Times.

Olivia Whitting - Olivia is the Cultural Heritage Lead at The Art Loss Register (ALR), the world's largest private database of lost, stolen, and looted art. Olivia joined the ALR in 2019 after completing a Master’s degree in Islamic Art and Architecture from SOAS University of London. She oversees the work that the ALR does in terms of checking cultural heritage passing through the art market. Olivia has been involved in investigations into fake provenance, illicit antiquities trafficking and theft, resulting in the repatriation of many items back to museums and governments around the world. Besides cultural heritage, she has worked on the ALR's expansion into recording a wider range of claims related to art and high value items, from the more traditional physical theft of a work of art, to civil ownership issues, family asset disputes and fraudulent refinancing schemes.

Antonia Kimbell - Antonia is a Senior Recoveries Manager at The Watch Register, where she leads partnerships across the insurance sector and with law enforcement agencies to identify and recover stolen properly and share intelligence to combat organised crime. Since joining The Art Loss Register in 2002, she has developed extensive expertise in the recovery of stolen art and luxury watches, as well as in resolving complex ownership disputes. Her career has included the investigation and resolution of a number of high-value and high-profile cases, including a fraudulent £7 million insurance claim involving nine museum-quality paintings.
